Cancellations,Make Ups, Rescheduling
If you are to miss a lesson, you must give 24 hours notice, unless there is a last minute illness or emergency. You can call the School 24 hours a day at 408-945-8014.
Makeups are given only if the lesson was missed due to illness or emergency. If you miss a lesson for other reasons,then I am not obligated to give a makeup. However, I deal with this on a case by case basis. If I have the time, I will give a makeup for reasons other than illness. In either case there is no credit for missed lessons.
Your lesson time is a permanent time, so please schedule around it when possible. If you can't schedule around it, then call to reschedule your lesson for the week.
If I miss a lesson, for any reason, then I am obligated to give you a makeup. If I cannot then I will prorate the tuition.
Attendance, No Shows
I keep attendance sheets on all students. The sheets show all lessons taken, cancellations, makeups, etc.
Makeups are not given for no shows. If you are a no show for the first lesson of the month, and you fail to pay your tuition by the 7th, you will lose your lesson time. You will need to call to schedule a lesson time.
Substitute Teachers
There are occasions (illness, show conflicts) when I will enploy a substitute. I have a regular substitute teacher. He is Peter Do. He has been with me for a long time and is quite familiar with how I like things done. From time to time, I may need to emply a sub other than Peter. The subs are always former students of mine or advanced students. There has never been a problem with my subs and my students.
