News and Updates

Lessons will resume on Tuesday, January 4, 2005. It was nice having three weeks off. I had an excellent Christmas and New Year's was OK. Overall, it was a good Holiday season. I am very anxious to see all of you again and to work on new stuff. Kyle will be in from January 4 through January 7 as I need the third week off for health reasons.

I have several Doctor and Hospital appointments in January, some local and some at UCSF. You will know if this affects your lesson time.

I am passing out a new issue of BackBeat which has a lot of info. Please read it and have your parents read it, too.

There will be a Drum Concert on March 6 or 13. This is the first Drum Concert in two yeras. The last one was before my "mishap" two years ago. I am looking forward to this one. If you are new a "drum concert" is just that, a concert with just drummers...no piano players or singers or violin concertos..just drums. This time around we will feature snare drum solos AND drum set stuff. This will be the first concert for a lot of you. There will be some veteran drum students there also. This Concert will also include those students who performed at the CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival.

I still play every Saturday night at Nicolino's Garden Cafe in Sunnyvale. The restaurant is located on Tasman and Reamwood just down the street from Great America. I play in a band that performs an all Italian show. The show starts at 6:00. There is no extra or cover charge. The show in included with the price of dinner. The food there is excellent. I would recommend that you make reservations if you are interested in coming out. If you want more info, let me know.

My "South Bay Kids" rehearsal season kicks ioff during this month. Our season will start in May. I plan on starting a new band and I plan on adding a drummer or two to my "touring show" projects.

Also added to the site is an overview of the weekly schedule. You can check here, if you are not sure if there are lessons for the week. This page is updated on Mondays and it may not include last minute changes. If you are not sure, please call my cell number, 408-839-0160.
